Malia and Andrew - 10 Year Wedding Anniversary
Malia and Andrew celebrated their 10th year of marriage on August 28th, 2020 with a fabulous session in the South of Broad section of Historic Charleston.
Malia surprised her car enthusiast husband with a visit from Fiona - The Pink Figgy for their session and it was the absolute perfect addition to this glamorous session! For those of you that don't know (and I didn't until it was mentioned) the traditional gift for a 10 year wedding anniversary is tin or aluminum. That sounds rather boring until Malia reconceptualized that into the use of a CAR for your already booked anniversary pictures! You have to admit here, that's pretty clever and cute!
I'll admit, as a photographer I was first stumped as to how to utilize a vehicle in a couples session. But Fiona's driver, Meredith, was a wonderful help in citing poses from her Instagram and other shots she has seen photographer's do. I got the hang of it just in time to create some really unique and memorable shots for them.
Once our time with Fiona - The Pink Figgy was up we said our good-byes and transitioned into their second outfit for the finale of our session.
And as you can already tell, this outfit change didn't disappoint either.
Totally Vogue.
No session downtown would be complete without a quick trip by Rainbow Row. Even when it's busy, we always find a good nook.
By now the sun was starting to go down and we had one last thing Malia had brought to showcase their anniversary celebration...
We headed to White Point Gardens along The Battery to pop some bubbly!
