Tait's Senior Portraits in Charleston, South Carolina
Tait's mom contacted me a few months ahead of their visit and told me her son had always wanted his portraits done in Charleston. He loved the architecture, the color, and it was really going to be a place for him to show off his amazing style. Every senior I've met this year has told me they were looking for something unique and different for their senior portraits. They didn't want to have the same yearbook photos or headshots as all their classmates. While Charleston has also become a destination location for many things including weddings, I think Senior Portrait Sessions could be a close second to that!
While his family was actually staying on Seabrook they made the trip into Charleston City to meet me for the session. They booked Sunday Brunch right after their session which was honestly a genius idea- Let me know if you need recommendations!
So thankful Tait's mom was there for the session to help make some style decisions and keep him smiling and smirking, as moms do. There is something so captivating about Tait's style and eyes, I had a blast working with him since I don't get many male seniors excited about their sessions.
We chose the South of Broad route for Tait because of his style choices and the time of morning. With later morning this is the best route for some shade, lots of color, and the variety of trees and nature mix with historic Charleston architecture. This backdrops also work SO well with black and white potraits!
And finally, you can't come all the way to Charleston with your whole family and not get an updated family portrait. I always encourage my senior portrait clients to have the family dressed for at least one portrait at the beginning or end of the session. You may just have the perfect Christmas Card photo you've been looking for!
