Meet Kate Earnhardt, Class of 2022
Kate Earnhardt is a hardworking student and recent graduate of The College of Charleston class of 2022 majoring in Finance. She has played Tennis since her early days and was a part of the College of Charleston Cougars Tennis Team all four years of school. While she does not plan to pursue tennis professionally, she has her career path all lined up after graduating as she moves back to her hometown of Charlotte. There awaits her entry level position at Wells Fargo! Being the first from her immediate family to graduate from College is a huge accomplishment among her many accolades while attending school, her family is SO incredibly proud.
April is a hugely popular time for Graduation portraits on Campus and Cistern Yard of College of Charleston, especially in the evening. I found that we were dodging other photographers, grads, people studying, visitors, all among the other activities going on in the yard with practice dance squads! But I will say the morning and evening light at the Cistern Yard is really unbeatable given the backlit spanish moss and romantic glow of the golden hour light. Looking at this gallery you wouldn't even be able to tell how many people were around, so there is definitely enough room to share! I think my favorite photo-worthy spots of the Cistern Yard are the steps leading up to the Randolph Hall, and the little itty bitty courtyard around the back right side of the building. The iron gate there is so gorgeous and the flower bed is an incredible touch to liven up the background.
Another favorite spot on campus is of course just behind the Randolph hall where beautiful red brick walking paths are lined with oak trees, classic lamp posts, and palm trees. This is a popular spot for champagne popping, but I love the strategic placement of the College of Charleston lamp post flags in maroon which contrast so nicely against the greenery of the trees.
College of Charleston Cougars Tennis Center
Student Athletes of the College of Charleston enjoy an amazing sports complex just over the Ravenel Bridge on the Mount Pleasant side of town. The Tennis Center specifically has the best lighting at sunset and we had the entire place to ourselves. Not only do you have a great view of the bridge, but the smaller court is perfect for pictures with the line of rocking chairs for spectators, The College logo and nets are placed so perfectly that every image is magazine worthy.
I really enjoyed this senior session with Kate to get to know her more and really showcase her personality and talent. I also had an absolute blast putting all these amazing images into a 10x10" keepsake album for her family to enjoy. Wishing this amazing young woman all the best in her new and exciting career!
